The gold price and silver price view We saw a late rally at end of this week in the gold price. Gold closed with some 1% weekly gain in the major currencies like the US dollar or the EURO. Closing price of gold was 1663.50 dollar per ounce. The silver price saw some losses in the beginning of the week. This week’s price of gold and silver: flat prices but high volatility

Gold finished the week $ 17 an ounce lower (which is a 1.5% change compared to the closing of the week before), while silver rose 15 cents. Both markets ended the week rather flat. We saw low trading volume in bullion during the week, as reported by physical gold and silver traders.
